TrustRadius found that 57% of surveyed tech employees are more productive when working remotely from home. This could be due to the fact that it removes the need to commute entirely and, for some individuals, decreases distractions – particularly from co-workers. 

Remote working increases happiness  

In addition to increasing productivity, remote work is said to increase overall employee satisfaction. A recent study from Tracking Happiness found that offering employees the ability to work 100% remotely increases their happiness by as much as 20%. 

The study also found that the happiness of Millennials (those born between 1981 and 1996) increased the most (4%) as a consequence of working from home. Those employees who weren’t given the opportunity to work remotely during the pandemic were relatively unhappy at work.
