Now, this isn’t a blog to boast about our placements, the fact that I’m an amazing recruiter, or about how well connected we are as a business. This post is talking about the fast-moving nature of contract hiring within the Robotic Process Automation space, and to educate and describe to all professionals who work in the space about how quickly things are moving.
One sunny Wednesday afternoon I was speaking to a leader within the Robotic Process Automation space to catch up and see how things are going at their end. Not just from a recruitment perspective, but how their week has been, what they did at the weekend etc.. We discussed the subject of the projects he has to deliver against and it was apparent that he needed an experienced Blue Prism Developer for Monday to hit the ground running.
I said that I know a number of people who could be a good fit and interested, I spent the remainder of the afternoon speaking to people in our network and found the perfect person sending their details to the hiring manager that very same day. We arranged an interview for the next morning at 9:30 am, 45 minutes later he had an offer, and 3 days later is now on site.
This should be seen as a lesson to those who are looking to bring Robotic Process Automation resources on to a project and professionals looking for new roles: nothing takes a long time in the world of Robotic Process Automation. If you are looking to bring someone onboard, processes have to be concise, and you have to be sure on what you are looking for before starting the process. It only takes one unnecessary stage, or one day’s extra deliberation to lose out on the right candidate, as people are being snapped up in under 24 hours.
